WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT VBS?
The Answers in Genesis VBS theme for 2026 is, Emerald Crossing, an Irish adventure.
The program is specifically designed to bring hope to an anxious generation of kids by exploring the green, rolling hills of Ireland, the life of the shepherd-king David, and the comforting words of Psalm 23.
Theme & Spiritual Focus
Emerald Crossing teaches kids how to cross from anxiety to peace, from fear to faith, and from uncertainty to a firm foundation in God’s Word. The core question kids will answer throughout the week is: "Is there a God who cares?"
Like all Answers in Genesis curricula, it heavily incorporates apologetics—teaching kids why they can trust the Bible, with a focus on real-world history, science, and Scripture.
The 3-Day Breakdown
Each day pairs a verse from Psalm 23 with a moment from the life of David to show how the Good Shepherd leads, protects, provides, and stays with us:
Day 1: Lost to Found
Focus: I can be a child of God and have the Lord as my shepherd.
Scripture: 1 Samuel 17:34-37 | Verse: Psalm 23:1
Day 2: Wrong Path to Right Path
Focus: I need the Lord to lead me on the right path through His Word (featuring archaeology and the trustworthiness of the Bible).
Verse: Psalm 23:3
Day 3: Valley to Hilltop
Focus: Dealing with fear, stress, and hard times by trusting the Shepherd.
Verse: Psalm 23:4
